ÿþThe Converse Weapon is having sort black sparkly converse of a metamorphosis year. Not only is the sneaker sporting all sorts of new materials to steer it away from the traditional leather, but it's also being chopped down to a lower height and re-purposed as a skate silhouette. The resulting design features a Nike Lunar insole permitted by the subsidiary relationship between Converse and Nike, a traction rubber outsole, and three debut colorways on display here. The Converse CONS Weapon Skate combines the classic elements of the iconic Weapon with elevated functional design for skateboarding including enhanced durability, comfort and fit. The sneaker comes equipped with black white converse high tops a drop-in Lunarlon sockliner that provides cushioning, perforated memory foam and a gusseted tongue construction. A mesh underlay on the hallmark Star Chevron increases breathability and CONS Traction Rubber enhances a skater's grip while providing the resilience needed to match the blue and white converse rigor of the streets.
Entitled the Louie Lopez Pro, the silhouette is designed to bridge the gap between street style and competition performance. The new kicks feature a Converse Chuck Taylor outsole the shoe that Lopez believes has the best board feel plus detailing from several other archival Converse models like the Converse One Star and the Converse Breakpoint Pro. The trifecta of inspirations combines to make a clean and versatile skate sneaker that features small logo hits on the midfoot/heel, blue converse low tops plus a small gold foil stamp of Lopez's name.
