Brooke Henderson, the 16-year-old star from Smiths Falls, Ont., shot a 6-under 66 and Brittany Marchand of Orangeville shot a 3-under 69 to keep Canada in first place. "It was a great day today," Henderson said. "Im really excited for tomorrow and really excited to be in the position that were in at such a beautiful golf course in beautiful Japan." Canadas trio of Henderson, Marchand and Augusta James of Bath, Ont., has a total score of 23-under-par 409, the second-best in the history of the tournament through 54 holes. Korea, which has won the past two years, posted a tournament-best 134 to pass Japan to get into second place. Canada has never won the Womens World Amateur Team Championship but has been the runner-up three times, in 2004, 1978 and 1966. "I think its great for us to come out and show the world what were made of," Marchand said. "In the past we might not have been a force but definitely a force now."
